i liked having a guide when i first got pokemon red, not to walk me through the whole game, but to find points of interest and become more familiar with pokemons abilitys and such

i dont use this for story mode. and often the stratigy guide doesnt tell you how to beat the game. it give good hints and helps you with secrets, the walkthroughs that eople write tell you exactly how to beat a game and thats lame. but this is also good for finding rare pokemon when trying to get um all like me
