Bill Nagel started porting the HUC6280 CPU core to SH4 when he was working on DreamEngine in 2002. The source code of DreamEngine never was released and the last thing that was heard from him was him saying the SH4 version is finished at 90%:

A working SH4 core would be great to bring HuCast to full speed: In the PCEngine architecture the HuC6280 is used as main CPU and the HuC6270 as Video Processor the HuC6260 as Color Processor.

His email is [email protected]
I tried to contact him regarding the source code but I didn't have luck - he never replied to both of my emails I sent him. Maybe if someone who really stood in good contact with him back in those days would give it a try?
If he agrees to release the source code of his unfinished SH4 core, we might be able to convience Fox68K to finish it for HuCast...!?
I guess the DreamEngine source code itself could be of help for Quzar too...
Please reply to this topic if you think you knew him good enough to contact him so he won't get two hundred emails begging for the DreamEngine source code!
Thank you in advance.
Chris
