Need help! can't download maps!

Hi, my problem is whenever I start downloading my map it opens up the Geodata map downloader program. When it gets to the part where it processes I get an error which ask me to choose Details, Continue, or Abort. I choose continue and nothing happens. It only happens when I click Save Geodata.dat :(.

IF ANYONE HAS MAPS FOR LOS ANGELES OR ORANGE COUNTY PLEASE PM ME OR AIM:Ranmax09 :) I had my PSP-290 GPS for 5 weeks and I can never get a map to download :(

This is an internet connection issue - GMDL needs to access maps.google.com on startup (I can replicate it by unplugging my network cable) that could be caused by your Windows XP/Vista/Firewall/AntiVirus being configured to block GMDL from accessing the internet (one of those Deny or Allow? boxes that pop up - you'll have to consult your OS/firewall manual to find out how to change the settings).

You can re download http://www.in7ane.com/psp/gmdl0.4.15b.zip which now gives a more informative error message, and will keep on retrying (you can quit via the task manager).

Thanks in7ane! that helped alot, everythings working now. I had to set my internet security to medium :D

BTW: What do I put in for BAUD RATE in the config.txt file if I have a PSP-290 GPS? Because I think that's the reason why I can't get the GPS receiver to the PSP to enable tracking and navigation. Could anyone help me get my GPS receiver to the PSP to enable tracking and navigation?
