Half of our phones smeared with photos we wouldn't want seen.
It has to be admitted that at one point or another our devices have contained at least one little snap that would cause the world to end if anyone was to see it.
In fact 55 per cent of Brits in total have said that their mobiles contain filthy selfies, and 48 per cent have rude pics of someone else, according to Mobile Entertainments previous app of the day Appysnap (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/app-of-the-day-appysnap/015821).
The survey has also revealed that only a third of the 18-35's asked, password protect their handsets, potentially putting their personal or possibly smutty pictures at risk of prying eyes.
52 per cent of the 1,928 people asked who said that they had some form of photo they'd like to keep private, 39 per cent had vain selfies - most likely with the dreaded duck face - 21 per cent had snapped a soppy or romantic image and 16 per cent contained embarrassing drunken photos - a little advice for them, what is forgotten should probably stay forgotten!
The majority of people who had taken rude or sexual photos were from Liverpool with 16 per cent (next holiday destination?), followed by Newcastle with 13 per cent and Bristol at 11 per cent.
Paul Smith, co-founder of Appysnap, said: "Anyone with raunchy images in their gallery should perhaps check their smartphone settings, to ensure they've got a password or PIN on there. Worst case scenario, you could accidentally end up posting these images on social media and that would be a disaster."
What with all the anti-porn vibes from Facebook (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/adult/read/facebook-pulls-sexual-and-violent-ads-2/021771) these days, any sexy-snaps probably wouldn't last long on there - however another risk is sending a personal pic to the wrong person, which 9 per cent of Brits confessed to doing.
'Hi, Nan? Thanks for the cookies. One thing, Ignore that last message please!'
