Rodo has just emailed me the latest exclusive update to his superb SCUMMVM port for the GameCube/Wii

Hi Nick,

I have good news regarding ScummVM for GC. I have implemented some control changes allowing the user to input enter (for Simon) and the number 0 (for Monkey Island 2). I have added fine cursor control with the C stick plus restarting ScummVM without rebooting the GameCube.

I would appreciate it if you can upload this release to your website (http://www.theplayground-uk.com/) and post the address on the ScummVM forums.

I hope you enjoy the release,

Best regards,

Rodolfo

Is there any way of running this from a DVD without an SD card? Like running the .dol file and the games from a disc..

Not as yet - maybe rodo will add it in future release  SD Cards are really cheap nowadays (2GB for about £6!) ;)

Theres a tutorial on my site (http://www.theplayground-uk.com) on how to make your own SD Card adaptor here (http://pspplayground.condor.serverpro3.com/index.php?topic=1515.0) :)

There is also an exclusive update to SCUMMVM-GC at The Playground (http://www.theplayground-uk.com) :D Look here (http://pspplayground.condor.serverpro3.com/index.php?topic=1534.0)

I know Im going to sound just as dumb as I did when I asked this on the PCEngine board, but what kind of games can you play on this?

Go to ScummVM.org. You can get official versions for a variety of game systems, plus you can download many of the games supported by the emulator.

You can play a lot of LucasArts classics like Indiana Jones, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throtle, the DIG, etc.

Yes, LucasArts' SCUMM games were some of the very best adventure games ever made, in my opinion. A nice mix of humor and challenge.

Where can I get these games now a days? Is there a "best of pack" that LucasArts allows you to buy from them?

I loved Maniac Mansion for NES but never saw the pc version. I know Day of the Tentacle is a sequel and would love to see what one too.
