Sony is preparing to launch the PlayStation 3 in Korea next month, according to a report on Chosun Ilbo.

The company is expected to only launch the 60GB version of the home console, with an estimated retail price of between KRW 500,000 and 600,000 (EUR 399 – 480).

The report suggests that once Sony Japan gives the go ahead to launch, Sony Korean will begin an 'aggressive' marketing campaign in the region.

According to Chosum Ilbo, over 100,000 Xbox 360's have been sold in Korea since the system launched in February 2006.

That sounds really embarrassing but what is taking Sony so freaking long to release PS3 in Korea? At first it was supposed to be a legit world launch all at the same time and now Korea and I think mexico haven't even gotten the launch yet. Embarrassing by Sony.
