Hi all,

For those who haven't seen previous versions, XTiger is an unix emulator (under X Window)
of a TI-92 calculator (Texas instruments).
It was originally written by Jonas Minnberg and was closed source.
Jonas Minnberg has not worked on XTiger for quite a while and he gave Misha Nasledov
the code and permission to GPL it.

PSPXTI is a port on PSP a the Unix version 0.8.

What's new in this version ?

- New user interface !
- Use Virtual keyboard !
- Use SDL library
- Render mode max (fullscreen)
- Add keyboard mapping menu
- New help window
- New background image
- Multiple keyboard mappings feature :
You can now toggle between 3 different keyboard mapping using
LTrigger and RTrigger keys
- Delete files option
- Bug fix in the file requester

You need the rom of your TI-92 or TI-92 plus, but it is NOT part of the PSPXTI package
because it is the property of Texas Instruments ! (have a look to my blog
http://zx81.zx81.free.fr for more informations).

This version works with 2.x, 1.5 and custom firmware 3.X-OE.

It's distributed under GNU licence and sources are included.

Here is a PDF version of the manual : http://www.smendes.com/ti89.pdf

Enjoy,

Yes you need a little time to feel at ease with the virtual keyboard ... :) but according to me it's much better than a huge keyboard with many keys, and where you spend 10 seconds to go from one side to the other, with the PSP analog pad ...

Thats true. Im starting to figure it out and get used to it. I looked at the PDF file and figured out how to take derivatives and intergrals. Its pretty awesome. Too bad they wouldnt let you use one of these on an AP test. Its much better than the Ti-83.

If the emulator return to the XMB you're no using the right rom

Set "ti92 rom" in google, and the first web have a valid one

You just have to rename it to ti92.rom and move to the emulator main folder

As allways, perfect work :D

Here's a capture of '1' graphic xD

but the ti-92+ rom doesnt work it backs to the xmb :(

You have to name it ti92.rom even if it's a ti-92+ rom ...

you need a TI-92 rom to make it works. If you have a fw371 then put pspxti fw3x version in the game371 folder. Search on my blog or anyother location for th TI92 rom and put it in the pspxti folder with the name ti92.rom (be aware that windows OS hide file extention !).

hope that helps.

Hello,

Hey :) This is the dream of all mathemathics students. I am amazed by this zx-81's release. It saved me two months' scholarship!

Well... It is a bit tricky to get accustomed to such control, but it is the best way chosen with the PSP abilities. You're an artist here! Really! Maybe I should try buying that Targus IR keyboard (it is the first time for PSP's IR port being put in use :D). That's all.

Thanks and good luck!
