PSP Devolution is a "flashmod". It can downgrade ANY psp. Any firmware and any mobo version.
There are 2 versions of the PSP Devolution:
TA-079 / TA-081
TA-082 / TA-086

The PSP Devolution has been delayed. It will be for sale on May 18, 2007.

When it comes out, you can buy it here (http://www.mod-chip.com/index-cart-us.php?go=en/psp_devolution.php).

The official PSP Devolution site (http://www.psp-devolution.com/) has also added instructions for installing the flashmod, which can be found here (http://www.psp-devolution.com/instructions/instructions.html).
The installation instructions are for the non-TA-082/086 version only.

So much for "easy" install.
(when it was first announced.)
SMD soldering is not easy in any way.

In any case this sounds like a great flash memory programmer thats been adapted for internal use in a PSP.
USB powered to boot.

Should help bring many dead PSP's back to life...
Unfortunately you'll need a "level 70 SMD soldering priest" to perform the ritual.

read the rules, NO ISO TALK!

this chip allows any psp install any offical sony update, i think.

In which case you could downgrade to 1.50 from any firmware, then update to the latest OE firmware from dark alex.
