hey, im new to this and i downloaded the recovery and the 1.5 eboot, but the hold R to get to the recovery menu when you start it back up wont work for me, why is that? did i do something wrong

you have to have a custom firmware not an official sony firmware

Sony firmware= 3.40
Custom FW= 3.40OE (lets you use recovery)

oohhh, cuz i got the links from this site to get them and it said place the recovery folder in game and then download this one and rename it UPDATE.pbp and place it in the recov folder and turn off and hold Rand turn on etc..
