PS3 outselling both Wii and 360

Sony's PlayStation 3 is the best selling console on Amazon.co.uk, topping the superstore website's best sellers list. Nintendo's Wii trails behind in fifth place, Nintendo's DS handheld is at sixth and the Premium Xbox 360 pack at seventh.

Amazon are selling the PS3 at a reduced price of £389.99, 36 quid cheaper than the recommended retail price. In fact, you can get yourself a PS3, HDMI cable and a game for £420, saving you a fiver on the retail price - and the choice of game isn't awful, with MotorStorm and Resistance both on offer.

Another interesting item in the list is Crackdown - which has shot back into the chart at number nine nearly two months after it was released. It's almost as if it gives access to one of Xbox 360's most anticipated games, or something.

Like the way the White and Black DS's are listed separately, they should be listed together for the sake of how many DS's sell as a console....

Also the PS3 games dont even enter the Amazon chart till No 17 ??

There is no way sony is anywhere near 1st, and just because a website rather lose money to help sony in sales means nothing. The ds is the worlds fastest selling system, and has been 1# above everything else for years, so this is a pretty desperate gamble to move a system with no games :D

This is astounding to hear that the PlayStation 3 console sells well on Amazon at £390. Maybe it could sell a little bit more if the price was cut back to at least £375?

The ONLY reason why the PS3 is outselling the Wii is because there are Wii shortages. Go to any store, and see if you can find a Wii or a PS3. EVERYWHERE has a PS3 now.
