I was having issues with this combination :
Mapthis0.499 + 3.40OE + PSP-290
Just as many fellow users here.
I realised that if I disable the plugin for CWCHEAT, Mapthis would no longer hang after a while.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

May I know how did u get it to work? All I get is "The game could not be started. (80020148)"....I am using Mapthis 0.499, PSP-290 and 3.40 firmware. I read other post and seems like we should be able to find a "Game340" folder in the memory stick? but all I found is a Game folder....I am very lost here....

The map name should be GAME340, and not Game340.

YOu need to create a GAME340 folder in your PSP folder, and you should keep the GAME folder in the PSP folder also.

Thank you. I did try that one time last night, but I didn't see the "map this" icon to start(I could see the map this icon if I put the mapviewer folder in the game folder)
May I know how to start map this after I create GAME340 folder and put the mapviewer there?

Wow, you really got me cornered there.
Well, it should be in the correct folder, ive got 3.03OE-C, and it work's for me.
Which version of Mapthis do you use?
EDIT: Your map should have the following structure:
PSP/GAME340/mapthis/all the folders in the map Mapthis.
Do you also have usbacc.prx and usbgps.prx in the mapthis folder?
EDIT2:
Maybe this will help

You'd better check out this page, it seems that even if you get it working on your PSP, it won't work.
But you can always try.

Hi. I still couldn't get it to run.
I first created a "GAME340" folder in the PSP folder, then created a "mapthis" folder and put all the data there.
i.e. /PSP/GAME304/mapthis/mapviewer
I couldn't even see the "mapthis" icon for this setting.
Then, I moved the mapthis/mapviewer folder to my "GAME" folder, all I see is "Corrupted Data".
i.e. PSP/GAME/mapthis/mapviewer
The only way I can see the mapthis icon is when I put the mapviewer folder directly in the GAME folder.
i.e. PSP/GAME/mapviewer
However, I can only see the mapthis icon under this setting. When I clicked the icon, an error message shows up.
"The Game could not be started. (80020148)"
My psp is currently 3.40 firmware, I have tried 4.99 as well as other people data (from those who are using 3.40 firmware), but all I got is the error message...Do I need to downgrade the firmware first?

Put the mapviewer folder into the GAME150 or GAME340 folder.
eg. PSP/GAME150/mapviwer or PSP/GAME340/mapviwer
Try both. One of them should work. (I think I used GAME340 folder; don't have my PSP with me now.)

As in NOT 3.40oe cracked firmware? Because you need a modded psp to run this program.

Correct, that was the thing that also wandered through my mind after reading his error-post.
