Sony PlayStation 3 Goes Portable, Adds Webcam?

Well, clearly this device isn't officially endorsed by the big boys at Sony, but that didn't stop a small, presumably China-based manufacturer from cashing in the PlayStation brand. The amusingly-named PS3 Game Player comes with a form factor not unlike the PSP, but its graphical prowess seems to be a far cry from the official Cell Processor-powered home console from which it "borrows" its namesake.

Instead, what you get is a measly 3.5-inch TFT color display only capable of doing QVGA (320x240). On the plus side, this knockoff system boasts a 1.3-megapixel camera, handwriting recognition (touchscreen?), stereo speakers, TV-out, and "built-in games." That's right, there's no slot for you shove in any UMDs or PS3 Blu-ray Discs.

It's not quite the portable PS3 you were looking for, but you can be sure that this handheld -- complete with a Street Fighter-like video game -- can be had for much less than the real thing.

I'd have to say it's as if someone changed the form factor of a turd as opposed to that of the PS3.

Same size than the PSP ? :rofl: Way too big for a modern phone and oubviously, no future in the handled game department. If that piece of hardware was that much good.. They wouldn't have to copy psp design + using Sony products name and logo..

Ok for all the people who can't do research. Who badmouth products on weather there fake or not. And for all who read labels then respond with uneducated responses. It IS a cell phone. Model number 三酷A816. The characters might not show up. Now given i don't understand chinese or japanese, which ever these are. Here is what i gathered. It is capable of mp3, midi, wav... Natch. 3gp? and mp4 at 320*240. It has a tv out. Can display jpg, bmp.

And can or has emulators for GBC/NES/SMC.

Ok so that is what i got.... Could be wrong about all of it. The research kinda hit a bump at the "I don't understand." part. .:thumbup:

But not bad for a whopping ¥1099 aka. $9.04

Actually except for the name these phones are pretty cool. They play Nes, Gameboy Color and Snes roms, and they are smaller than a PSP.
Here's a youtube video of the older version called the A815 playing Wild Guns. Although in this video he tries to play Tactic Ogre which unfortunately doesn't work.

I prefer buying original PSP & PS3 instead buying this one. Look fake to me. Im pretty sure. Sony sued them for selling fake product & using PS3 name.
