gemp 3.3 emulator stopped working all of a sudden

I havent used this emulator for a long time and all of a sudden when I tried using it it just kept loading and shut my psp off. ANyone know what happened? I tried replacing the eboot but the same thing happened.

I downloaded this version and it almost bricked my psp I kept turning it on and off and a blank screen for awhile:

you cannot rename the gemp file folder it has to remain as gemp

Personally, I haven't ever got it to work on 3.40 OE-A

Just because it turned into a black screen doesn't mean it's "almost bricked". If you turn it off and on, you are just usually putting it in standby and off standby, and of course, it would resume from that black screen.

If you are trying to turn your machine off, always hold the power switch to turn it off.

anyway I heard 3.4 oe cant even paly ps1 games and emulation without some sort of a plugin or something, can someone fill me in?
