Tried asking in Junk a while back with no response, thought it would be better here.

I've got a pretty large digital music collection (42,421 files in 1,562 folders) and I need some software to make cleaning it up a bit less daunting

Erm... that isnt happening.

You could tag all of your music, they it could be sorted into genras and stuff.

I just put them all in folders (i have 300gb worth of music)

artist ---> album ---> song

that is going to take a while if it is everywere.

I have quite a few albums, but a lot of my music is loose mp3s so any sort of normal organisation won't work

Well, I've got quite a night ahead of me then :(

Just over 30GB, but there's so many files because a lot of it is game music archives

you have to do it manually.
you should do it like triv said.

get your music folder
make artist folders
and inside those make folders with the name of the cd and in those folders
put the songs in.

Like S34MU5 said, just get them all into one mother folder and import
