Ok.... First off im really new to all this so please bear with me. I have firmware 3.40 oe-a and I have the Final version of 3.30oe/3.40oe theme pack and every single theme I put none of them work. I have even tried putting different themes for different firmware. When I start my psp it freezes at the xmb. I freed up space on my flash0 and im not sure what else to do. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well 3.40 is a different format of topmenus, you can put the rest of the theme on but u have to donwload a theme just for 3.40 if u want the topmenu.
also u cant use 272 x 480 1-12s otherwize u will get white squares for your topmenu

So you manually dropped them into the resources folder in flash0?

If so, its the themes fault.

Try a different pack

I've tryed every theme you can think of and still does not work. It seems like only the topmenu file has the problems because when I change the boot sound or gameboot and everything else except topmenu it works. I just can't replace the topmenu file for some reason.

3.40 oe-a uses different topmenu's so any of them not for 3.40 oe-a will make you xmb not load. if your just getting the generic icons then your not overwriting the original correctly. this could be due to a lack of free space in your flash. look for apps to free up space in flash.

How have you managed to set the region?

When I go in to recovery mode and then in to configuration all i get is "Fake region (currently: null)" and it will not allow me to change it.

Any ideas?

Kind Regards,

Chris
