iPhone owners are now able to trade-in their handsets in exchange for store credit at Apple stores.
Talk of the plans first appeared online last week (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/apple-prepping-iphone-trade-in-scheme-report/0120523).
The amounts offered will range between $125-$250 depending on the model and condition. The scheme has been rolled out nationwide across the US – meaning it’s ready for the rollout of the new iPhone models later this month.
The bad news, however, is that Apple has no plans to extend the scheme beyond the US meaning there’s no luck for UK consumers.
A rep told Crave (http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/apple-iphone-trade-ins-start-ahead-of-5s-launch-not-in-uk-50012118/) that: "This program is currently US only and we have nothing further to add at this point in time."
