A few months ago, my 4G iPod. How sad (well, not really for a Apple Computer product). Anyway, I ran into this:

How cool would it by to put a Compact Flash card in an iPod, eh? I just don't want to put down the money to buy one of these adapters. I have the soldering skills and the stuff to do this project. But, I can not find any helpful schematic or plan for the corresponding pins of the iPod pin out (from the ribbon cable) and the CF card. So, if anyone could send me some type of schematic, that would help. Also, this is a good project for anyone who doesn't want to buy a new iPod (like me).

Thanks!

I'm sort of in the same boat as you. my ipod died (dreaded error 1418), I really wish I got a zen vision m instead. The hard drive died in it, and apple wants $175 (canadian) to fix it. Yikes. luckily I know a repair man, and if that fails. I guess i'll have to have a flash pod.
