AmplituDS v3 is now released. A huge update over v2 which improves graphics, feel and adds 3 new stages.
If you don't know what the game is about, it's based on Amplitude for the PS2... which was created by the team that made Guitar Hero later on.
The official AmplituDS website:
http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com

First off, the boxart (http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/data/images/amplituds/amplituds_boxart.jpg).

Then, a couple of images:

And last, a couple of movies:
Movie 1 (http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/temp/v3_movies/amplituds_v3_movie2.swf)
Movie 2 (http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com/temp/v3_movies/amplituds_v3_movie1.swf)

Hurry up to the AmplituDS site (http://amplituds.drunkencoders.com) and get it! :)

Now, as for the model converter and viewer.
They both run on the NDS. How's that for portability?
The converter converts models in the .x format of a certain syntax to a .c file which contains a display list in an array.
You could use that .c file in your own homebrew projects.
The model viewer reads out that .c file, and also slaps on textures if you've put that in the same directory.
Check it out. It's worth it.

Example models available (not to be used in your own projects):

Haha, I already told you thanks on ds-scene, but again, thanks. I think I'm gonna attempt to make a stage too.

I prefer playing it with Pro controls, its like the controls with the first releases, with X, Y, and A as the buttons to use. I just dont like the fact that you have to unlock harder levels (which im used to playing) and also having to unlock those other songs, it sucks for me.

You can set those controls in the options menu (press B in the first menu): choose pad controls instead of default controls.
And come on. It'll only take an experienced player like 30 minutes max to get to insane. Alternatively, you could cheat. (set all highscores needed to 0 in /amplituds/world_origin.txt)
So basicly, no need to complain whatsoever. :p

And Pro controls can't be used on Insane, tbh. It's way too hard.
