Virgin Media has introduced the ZTE Blade V into the UK market, priced at £71.99.
The four-inch smartphone is said to be one of the most powerful in the price range compared to predecessors and competitors.
The device has a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm chip-set, 1GB processing memory and 4GB of storage packed into its tiny body.
A number of Android applications are available for the platform and it benefits from the Kingsoft Office suite being pre-embedded in the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
To top it off, the phone has a 5MP camera with auto-focus as well as a panoramic shooting mode.
Kalam Meah, account director at ZTE UK, said: “We strongly believe smartphone technology should be accessible to everyone, and taking on board feedback from our customers, the Blade V is designed to deliver a richer multi-media experience at a more affordable price point than ever before.”
