Does Map this! with PSP-290 work on old 1.50 kernel?

I have an old psp with Firmware 1.50 (from official Sony release). I am wondering if I can run the Map this! on this 1.5 psp without any hacking to 3.03OE. I don't know how to hack the firmware, and don't want to hack my PSP's firmware.

To use it you must be running custom firmware.

Its quite easy to upgrade, no hacking of the firmware required of you. Just follow the install instructions and take your time.

If you don't want to install custom firmware - you may need to stick to holux receivers..
PSP-290 requires some 3.xx modules which so far failed to run under 1.5 kernel..

I had a mapthis on my 1.5 before I upgraded to a custom firmware, and it DID work. I was able to view my own created maps with it. So yes, its possible.
(However I dont think u can use the receiver, which is why i ended up upgrading it to a custom firmware. Theres easy installers out there, so no need to worry about screwing up)
