LG has unveiled what it says is the “world’s largest” ultra HD OLED TV at IFA.
The 77-inch ultra HD curved OLED TV follows the company’s 55-inch curved OLED TV, which was shown off at CES earlier this year.
The curved display was likened by LG to IMAX cinema screens, claiming it “fills the viewer’s field of vision more completely than a flat-screen TV.”
The TV uses a combination of LG’s WRGB OLED and Ultra HD technology, resulting in “infinite contrast ratio” and four times the resolution of a Full HD screen.
"It’s a true home entertainment wonder that has to be seen to be believed," said Havis Kwon, LG’s president and CEO.
"This 77-inch TV is proof that we will never stop pushing the boundaries and exploring new possibilities."
For the moment, the screen remains a concept, but the existing 55-inch non-ultra HD OLED TV, which was originally only a concept too, is available for $15,000 (£9630).
