I just got my PSP back from repairs and it's still a 3.02 OE-A Firmware.
My question is do I need to take of my current Custom FW? and if I do how?
Is this what I need:

take "off" you mean?
No there is no need to go to 1.50 before upgrading a custom firmware.
Just put it straight on top.

What does this mean?

Go into recovery, look under "configuration", and check if it says "game folder homebrew (currently 1.5 kernal)".
