Pictures have been leaked of the supposed follow up to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Facepalm at the ready!
If there is any truth behind this whatsoever, surely we cannot be blamed for saying that Samsung could be jumping the gun a bit.
The Galaxy Gear one has barely touched the shelves (http://www.mobile-ent.biz/news/read/samsung-galaxy-gear-the-smartwatch-is-here-and-waiting-time-is-over/022298), and it is still unclear as to how relevant a gadget the ‘companion device’ actually is.
So far feedback has been mixed, but mainly raised eyebrows and comments like ‘you do what with your wrist?’
Surely people want interactive, innovative devices that are convenient but are more than an add on to something that is already owned.
The image was leaked on Korean language new site Daum from an unnamed source, saying that the electronics company was actually working on a second-generation Galaxy Gear, for release in early 2014.
So far this is just a rumour, and hopefully Samsung have the savvy to pull on the development reigns until they have heard feedback from fans and users.
However as leaks go, this is more of a drip and not something – we’d imagine - that would get the industry that excited.
