[PSP] Daedalus R12 Release Date

A number of people have been asking in the comments when R12 is going to be released.

There are still a number of things I want to work on. Now that Super Smash Bros. is running nice and quickly with dynarec enabled, I want to spend a week or so polishing the graphics and trying to make it as playable as possible. Although Goldeneye is running with dynarec in R12, it still needs a lot of work before its playable, so I'm not going to spend any more time on it for R12.

I'm going on holiday at the end of June, so I'd like to have R12 released before then. I'll aim for next weekend (23rd/24th June) but it may end up being as late as the 26th/27th.

That's good to hear that its going to be released before july when I go on vacation but I hope all this talk has been making my wrestling games work I'm tired of playing mario kart (My testing game to see how daedulus improves) all the time. But honestly good work its good to see how you improve from early stages of daedalus , and now you blew away the other n64 competetion.

i dont think so mike. super smash bros was creating a bug that made it crash, it didnt really have to do with daedalus. but i am sure that a lot of other games that did the same thing will boot now, maybe paper mario will get passed the save file screen.
also i beat zelda OoT if u want to check out the save file mike

I hope the poll doesn't go in the way of any Zelda games, I'm not a fan and I know there are alot out there and that game already semi works. I would love to see a great game like Diddy Kong Racing work, that game has great speed when you look at the FPS display, it's just you can't see where you are in-game. I'm just hoping the poll doesn't swing to another Zelda game, the fanboys....

well zelda has a dynarec bug that causes the game to freeze so thats all that is wrong with both zelda games.
morgan, its not like strmnnrmn isnt going to work on any other games. mostlikely he will work on the 3 highest voted games meaning that zelda and diddy kong can be possibly worked on for R13 if they are voted high enough.

You have to do the most popular games first because that's what most people are wanting to play so both zelda games need to be working good. So yea only games I waiting for to be actually playable before I start to really play it. Too bad he ain't did nothing about the sound improvements at all like using ME cause he didn't mention anything about it.

Oh I know that DKR still has a chance at being in the top 3 for the poll, so I'm happy. I know about the Zelda issues though guys just because I don't like the game doesn't mean I haven't tested it. It's cool though, but don't you guys remember "Captain Morgan's Daedalus Compatabilit List", I know they were posted on the "wonderful" PSPUpdates but I don't know about over here at DC.

he should really look into ME in r13 becasuse that would mean games running near fullspeed with sound and implementing it would probily improve frame rate a little because it would be handling the display too just a thought cant wait till goldeneye runs good

Diddy Kong Racing was a fun game but didn't they just release a new version of the game on the DS? CaptainMorgan4 if you have a DS I would suggest buying that game. That way if but probably when DKR doesn't make the list at least you have a next best portable version...:p ZELDA RULES!!! :rofl: Only jk I've always been more of a Mario fan than a Zelda fan. :cool:

No I don't like the DS I'll stick with my PSP, although it's tempting seeing you can go online and play that. I've been with the PSP and Daedalus since the beginning and I'm gonna stick to what I've been using. I want to see DKR on Daedalus R13 hopefully, we'll see how many votes people give it in the poll.

I think the DKR fix is a simple one that needs a Vector or something added.

Im sure it will be fixed eventually... As there are quite a few other games with teh same problem.

Yeah we should be hearing something new from StrmnNrmn soon, he's probably just putting the finishing touches on R12 for us. I can't wait SSB running fast with graphics fixed, and Goldeneye actually booting, even though we won't be able to 007 it right now it's still a big step in the right direction. If R12 gets released this weekend as previously planned, then expect the Daedalus poll thread to be posted up soon after by me HERE at DCEMU!

he never got that much time to work on R12.. only fixed goldeneye and super smash bros. i wonder wut else he has done for this update

ME support would really help.. i was playing mario kart time trials at full speed of course and if i turn on the sound on the frame rate goes from 30 fps to 20fps.. that wouldnt happen if he adds the ME

and yes we should just wait patiently, we know its going to be released this week

I cant wait, ive been trying to get many games onto my psp but they just wouldnt work! it would say corrupted data every time. Does R12 work for firmware 3.11 or am i gonna have to downgrade? if so you guys know any downgrading websites? thank you!

You need to downgrade from 3.11 and there is no avaiable downgrade yet.

Ok i live in BC Canada where not many ppl have psp's... i was able to get mine when it came out on the first day easy. So i might have trouble finding that used game and also we have none of those stores, the kind of stores we have here are Future shop and EB games
