Can someone please help me?
I tried it on 3.40OE but the PSP will always crash when it try to initialize the USB - and yes i copied the two prx files into the Mapviewer folder. Without the two files it will just hang and show an error.

I do not have the PSP-290 right now, but i should get one next week. I just want to play a bit around before i get the module.

this message is in reply to masc----did you make sure you got the 3.40 .prx not the 3.30 prx ? the video only supplies links to 3.30 .prx's

I had the same exact problem, but I figured what I did wrong. See if this works for you, put the mapviewer folders into another folder GAME340

so it should look like :/PSP/GAME340

i did this and it works fine for me

ahh no need to say thanks i had alot of trouble my-self putting the thing on my psp. The written tutorial on the dcemu website didnt mention anyhting about .prx's and it took me so long to figure out i need the .prx for my own firmware. I thought instead of other people struggling from the same problem i'd just make a video about it:thumbup:

if your putting it on 3.40oe fw you cant use the .prx's supplied in the description of the youtube video you have to get the .prx's for 3.40 oe i dont know where to get it if i did i would tell you. Your best bet would be to search net

tigerjk1410 follow the video exactly if you do have 3.30 oe-A but after that make sure your kernal is set to 3.30

after you do that the .prx's should work fine

if you kernal was set to 1.50 before becasue you were using homebrew just keep the kernal set to 3.30 and move all the homebrew's into the psp/game150 folder and keep the mapviewer and mapviewer% folders inside psp/game folder

so after all that...
delete the folders
recopy mapviewer 0.497 to GAME330
put prx files and maps back into there
start it up loads
map loads
gps starts up and starts viewing sats.

i have no idea what's the problem here.

the problem could be because of the map you created maybe you didnt wait until the map was done downloading? usually google maps download makes the maps then a few minutes later it compresses the maps then you can put it on your psp

also make sure your using the 3.30 .prx's since your psp is 3.30 oe-A right?

heres better directions for how you should start over if the above dont work. format memory stick first then change kernal to 3.30 and also set your HIDE CORRUPT ICONS to disabled and then follow t he video exactly

Okay, when i have downloaded the map, and enter it, it gets stuck and turns off.. Can anyone help? And the mapViewer and mapViewer% are in the GAME330 folder.. Because the one with blue background doesn't show up when i put it in the GAME folder!

On 3.52 M33 all work perfect.

Problem lies with GMDL....load up but with error! Probably my pc setting!

first of all I want to thx mhouse974 for making the video tutorial, I manage to get the Map This! and GMDL running smoothly (fortunately)

Problem: trying to get PSP-290 to work. I drove around and it finally pick up reception from satelites, but it's like 100ft off of where my exact location is at.
I tried to change the config's altitude from meter to feet (since i'm in the U.S.), but at the end it's not even moving/adjusting as I move around.
And, I have no Bearing & Altitude reading just "- -" when GPS is on. ><

Can someone help me to see what I need to do to make it works correctly?

the new mapthis0.5, there is only one folder???!!!!
that is, the .zip document contains only the mapviewer folder. and what i did : copied the mapviewer to the GAME folder, copied 2 .prx documents to mapviewer folder, so the .prx documents and EBOOT.PBP are in the same folder.

run mapthis0.5 GPS edition under XMB, all the thing is alright except the gps lock on,,,,,,,,, never get locked on,,,,,:confused: :(

Hi people Im in London UK, got a PSP290 thing and went step by step through the video guide. That maps working fine, just dont seem to be pickin up any sats?!?!? The other thing I was wondering about is when it eventually does pick up a signal how do I use it for directions for example in my car?

Hi again, ok Im picking up signals now! But I cant quite figure out how to get it to locate me. Also how do you use it to plot a route for you.

Oh yeh when I push square is sais "location no found!!" and something about coords. I know the map I got covers my area and the fakefeed is on 0.

Well you should try to make rules in your firewall then allowing the GDML to access Google or whatewer place you download maps from ;)

Hi all

Ive tried everything to get it to work and still nothing :(
I have a psp 3.71 M33-4

I have made a cable for the holux m1000 (tested the signals and look fine, got to work np with the computer)

Put version mapthis 0.520, the FW3.XX in the GAME371 directory, I have tried the FW1.00 in the GAME & GAME150 and it gives me a fault.

Anyone got any idea what i should do next? I'm really excited and keen to get this to work :)
