Devhook .52 and 3.40 oe

I have 2 questions (I'm running 3.40 OE)

1. i have heard many conflicts on wether or not devhook can brick the psp when run on an oe firmware. Is this true? Because i have been using it to emulate 3.03 to use Edison carter's lcs cheat device and so far it's been going fine. Except for what i am going to ask in number 2.

2. Whenever i press home in GTA LCS (only game i've played), it instead shuts down and and restarts normally. nothing is bricked or anything but it gets realy annoying.

You can use the lcs cheat device as a plugin to avoid using the game save.
