I don't have access to post news, so if someone that does can post this for me I'd really appreciate it!

Title: Save Manhunt 2! Sign the petitions!!!

Petition1 (http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/stop-the-bbfc-ban-on-manhunt-2.html) 448+ Signatures
Petition2 (http://www.petitiononline.com/RSGMH2/petition.html) 247+ Signatures
Petition3 (http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/manhunt2) 1000+ Signatures

Taken from gopetition.co.uk (http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/stop-the-bbfc-ban-on-manhunt-2.html):

"The BBFC have banned the game Manhunt 2, saying it is 'Morally irresponsible'. Even though many ultra violent/graphic films such as 'Hostel 2' have been awarded 18 certificates Manhunt has been shunned.

It seems that the BBFC has fallen prey to political pressure over this game, with many people suggesting that the original Manhunt was the cause of a stabbing of a 14 year old boy in 2004; even though a police investigation determined the motive of the stabbing was robbery, and the only relation between the game Manhunt and the attacker was that he owned a copy*.

*Many people have commented that it was the 14 year old victim who owned a copy of the game and not the attacker. At the moment though I am only going by what the BBC have reported on the incident (See sources).

Sorry about that, I just thought it'd be a bit cleaner that way.

It has nothing to do with morals... We should have the right to play whatever we like, and game creators should have the right to MAKE whatever they like.

Cersorship is a bad thing, weither or not you agree with something being censored.

It's not the point. Violence is good. There is nothing like spraying an opponent all over an arena with a well placed rocket. There just isn't anything more fun, besides Pokemon maybe. I can't wait to play...

I'm also STILL waiting on Duke Nukem Forever.

I would love it if they made an AO version that you could order from their site, I would buy that

That wouldn't happen as things are right now. Nintendo/Sony don't want an AO game being produced for their systems. Offering the game on their site would only eliminate the problem of retailers not being willing to sell AO games.

i would sign.

but this game didn't pass the ratings because it has no redeeming features... meaning it is pure, pointless violence... maybe if it had a plot it would be good

pointless murder is too far for any medium

I give you my condolences, but let's not forget about a game called "Postal 2". It might've been banned from certain countries, though it never recieved an AO rating. In my opinion, that game is far worse as there's extremely rude humor tied in with the high amount of violence. Manhunt 2 might have it's share of pointless violence, but at least it does it without the "humor in killing" attitude of Postal...
