Nokia harnesses the power of lightning to charge its Nokia Lumia 925.
That pretty much says it all.
Not all phones could withstand the shear natural power of lightning, but Nokia reckons its Lumia devices can.
Benjamin Franklin said that lightening “has been fatal to many, both man and beast” – and he is right. Not many a happy ending has come out of someone or something being struck by it.
Yet Nokia and The University of Southampton have teamed up in a bid to harness to the power of Thor - minus the thunder, storms and oak trees – fearlessly tackling mother natures battery power source head on to charge their phone.
