"It seems that the Illuminati exploit doesn't work properly if your PSP is set to non-English settings. At a guess, it's something to do with unicode when displaying the profile name.

Anyway, if you are having problems, especially with the European Lumines, then try switching your PSP to 'English' settings.

One other note - Lumines sales on Amazon.com have gone up over 14,000% since yesterday!"

Seems that PSP is getting better and better, even if we don't see it:p
Did you see the latest Japanese sales?
PSP sells MORE than the PS2:eek:
It's third in Japanese hardware sales. Not bad at all;)

14000% is smply incredible. The makers of Lumines are in for a pleasant surprise.

14000% is hilarious. As far as I can tell, this is actually the kind of small victory Sony celebrates...sure they're going to lose potential money from game sales, but this is the sort of news that sells consoles (and apparently some games). It's like how they let custom firmware talk fly on the official forums. Three cheers for Team N00Bz and the Illuminati!

Maybe developers will put exploits in their games on purpose in order to sell units.

I was suggesting this when the GTA exploit was first found.

Well, right now, I think that's all it can run. More sophisticated stuff (like a downgrader) would have to be created around the exploit.

However, that kind of thought crossed my mind as well. Even if it turns out to be a hoax of some kind, though, it's not like I'll have nothing to show for my $20US. I'll have a game, and from what I'm hearing, a pretty good game at that.

Nothing really lost. ;)

Yah this is actually a pretty good investment for when it becomes patched and it's the only game that has an exploit in it. Please Noobz, work on the PS3's firmware!!!

Edit: Just to double check, this is on Lumines 1 right? Not Lumines 2?

It is only for Lumines 1.
I just got one for $15, even though I have 3.4oe. I will probably sell it. :)

that is... at ABSOLUTELY MINIMAL.. 14000 sales. (real sales #s are around 5x higher, divide sales by everything proir to exploit = rise in %). lets say those went for.... hmm.. something cheap, how bout 15 US. that would be over $200,000 (at 14000 $15 sales). im sure a few developers are gana love n0obz and sony is gana want their HEAD

Forgive me if i'm incorrect but wasn't it a 14,000% increase rather than 14,000 sales increase ?

all you technically need is to make a shit game with an easy downgrader exploit in it, and get sony to publish it and get a copy of the UMD

Or make a game that has a secret downgrader / OE upgrader
