Every once in a while while I'm running homebrew on my PSP with 3.40 OE-A firmware, the screen will go dark (but not off) and the system will shut down all of my activity. The problem occurs rather frequently, but not to the point where it's driving me crazy.

Still, if anyone can offer a solution to fix this, I'd appreciate it.

Easiest fix for problems like this would be to recover to 1.50 then re-install 3.40oe-a. :)

The same thing occurred often when I exiting from a UMD game or PCEP(Why ?) ... i cleanned the MS contacts and now it works fine.

You don't have to dg, just reflash OE.

If that doesn't work, then downgrade.

Update:
I re-flashed the PSP and it's been behaving well up until just a minuted ago when it shut down while I was playing an emulated MGS. I believe that the issue has something to do with the power cable; it was plugged in but when I went under System Settings, it said it was running on battery. As long as I'm playing without the power cable inserted, it works fine.
