(PSP) Ragnarok PSP Edition - Demo

Hello CoderX again,

I am releasing a small little demo I like to call
Ragnarok PSP Edition. For those of you fimilar
to the pc edition, it is an online mrpg with many clones.

I have been working with some of my freinds at
lightside legends to try and create a psp version.

This is only a Sad little Demo, Its only two weeks old

Still Needs:
- Colide / Attack engein
- Multiplayer Infustructure
- I need to talk to Lightside in hosting a psp server
- More caracters

WoW, i used to play it on the PC. If you are able to port it to the PSP it would be the first typical MMORPG for sony's handheld :O Really nice

Not sure about the legality, but you could use files directly from Ragnarok Online's "Data.GRF". Sprite, texture, and skill-wise that is.

People at the eAthena forums (search Google) would probably be more helpful than me.

Asides from that, I'm glad to see someone gave attention to a great game. :D

Hmm ... for 3.30 oe - 3.40 oe ... you can try putting the file Rag into the GAME150 .... hope that help you guys out there. Although the game is a little lag but ... it's consider a very good start for a demo. A good one and hope it will shine one day ~ Keep on

Ok let me clear this up

If you have 1.0 - 1.5 or an Eloader the Reg folder goes in the Game Folder

If you have DAX's CF then the Reg folder goes in the GAME1.50 folder.

it would be awesome to have a ragnarok MMORPG on the psp. would bring it back a little and also might inspire other people to port other MMORPG's over to the psp and host servers. The possibilities here are exciting.

For Gods sake, open your eyes! He won't create any similar clone to Ragnarok MMORPG especially if he works alone and more especially on lua! Network, data transfer, speed issues, sorting, data structures, database developing will couse this project to be dead soon. Sorry, but this won't be a mmorpg. Otherwise, grap tool chain SDK, network programming book, data structure book, some book like Thinking in C++, and finally Data structures for graphic and game developers book.

u lot r so sinacle just let the guy work nd he will have the game up in no time expesialy if we all know wat we r doing and offer our talents to help,, i myself can make the battle interface if needed bt u lot will need to think of how to get the infastructure worin kk ? pls post bak im very exited and cant wait to work ! p.s thnks in adv.

I do not think it is 100% functioning yet, give it some time. Hopefully that creator will get a breakthrough. I'm sure a bunch of people would like this on their PSP's. I know I would :-P

Why have i seen this exact screenine before a while back..... and i tried a LUA rag clone and it was the same thing, all you did was walk around......................

Has anyone thought about porting Ragnarok Battle Offline (the sidescrolling fighter version). It would really fit the psp's screen. And it'd be fun to play in short bursts also...

OMG , Ragnarok on PSP ? There will be great. I used to play it on the PC for few hours per day. If it really works for online, I am sure will be the 1st one to introduce it to my friends and Ragnarok Teammates. Japanese word : KanBaDe (means keep it up)

I 'm new in this forum, I known that this post is old,long and boring but i think after the release of ragnarok DS, everyone would like a psp version of it.This RAG demo didn't worked for my PSP 3.71-m33-4 so after a long time without any update of the demo i converted the demo to 3.71m33 firmware and converted to windows.The psp version coverted works pretty slow, the windows just works fine. The only diference between the original demo, is that i reduced the porings in the screen to improve the speed, both versions can be download bellow:


RAG demo PSP 3.71 33:

Just put in the directory "game" of your PSP and run it.
