Nerverball (http://icculus.org/neverball/) is a free Monkey Ball game clone: Tilt the floor to roll a ball through an obstacle course before time runs out. Neverball is part puzzle game, part action game, and entirely a test of skill.

Also Nerverputt game is incluyed, it is a pretty mini-golf game: A hot-seat multiplayer miniature golf game using the physics and graphics of Neverball.

For now, it is a preliminar stage and it have a lot of bugs, as memory leaks (hangs after play a lot of stages) or musics lost sometimes.

A Neverball port! - That is sooo cool! :D

Dreamcast should have had a Monkey Ball port in the first place. I mean, it's been a NAOMI game...

Thank you, Chui :)

Chui did ask nicely; would it hurt to post your bug findings where he's asking?

Thank you chui. I asked for this one on DCemulation forum and someone said it was probably not possible. The power of chui says it is possible. Excellent! By the way the Dreamcast was suppose to get a release of Monkey Ball, but the game was cancelled. It was listed with a date on a official release list. Instead the Gamecube got the game.

good news.
neverball is really cool. i don't tried it on the dc yet, but i knew it for years.
you used your sdl-libs, right? how is the framerate? does it run with full-details? sure not - but, it is possible? how good is the 3d-accelation (opengl) on the dc?

Chui did a marvelous job so far with this game. I bet those graphics could be used to develop tons of new projects. (maybe even a new rpg for DC? or is that too hard yet?)

I am completing KGLX and getting many progress.

For testing and debugging, i use Neverball. :D

ouuuKay :D

this is a better answer i hoped ^^

3D-Accelation and modem support are the main problems in DC homebrew, i think.
good to hear, someone continues KGLX :)

was Neverball hard to port to DC?

It would be great to see some other Linux-Ogl-Games (ok,ok - i mean OpenSource-Games) on the DC.
X-Moto anyone? ^^

It really was no hard task: uae4all was much worst :D

But i think that there are not a lot of people for porting games to Dreamcast.

That looks totally awesome. RLK (the games author) has just noticed this thread.

On the Neverforum (http://www.nevercorner.net/forum/) they are rapidly approaching a 1.5.0 release, with more than 30 new Neverball levels, and more entire neverputt courses.

They are fixing joystick control (good news for you guys) and are currently fixing locale (utf8) support.

You are cordially invited over to join, and create a related thread in the Development area, where you may find some unlikely alpha testers

Hope to see you there.

Great work!
