Nintendo is to roll out a camera specifically for use with the DS/Lite in Japan on August 2nd. The first piece of software to use it is Otona no DS Kao Training (Adults' DS Face Training.) In fact, the camera is called the Facening Scan.

Facening is a regime of facial stretching designed to reduce wrinkles and sagging, and to make your face appear smaller.

The camera slots into the GBA, Slot 2 part of the DS and is included with the software, as is a DS Lite stand.

Ummm...the PSP doesnt have a software that recognizes the faces features.

So I guess Microsoft is ripping Sony off with the camera since when Sony released the EyeToy? This is nothing new. Companies will take ideas from other companies. Thats how the scene and business is. Companies will do the same thing just to get a piece of the action and money.

The DS camera huh? It looks just a small bit like the old Game Boy Camera which I still have.

Why is it a rip off? Nintendo had the first gaming camera back in 1998 for the GameBoy Pocket!

Exactly, SONY's EyeToy and the PSP thing is an exact rip off of GameBoy Camera and Super GameBoy with GameBoy Camera (but updated of course) :)


I now want a DS! :D
