http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2013/10/wordament_620x340.jpgMicrosoft's plan to supercharge Xbox as an entertainment brand (http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/08/microsoft-sells-mediaroom-to-ericsson/) means that, no matter which ecosystem you live in, you'll have access to some of the company's first-party titles (http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/24/nikkei-microsoft-porting-first-party-games-to-android-ios/). In the same way that Kinectimals came to Android (http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/16/microsoft-kinectimals-android/) and iOS (http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/13/microsofts-kinectimals-lands-on-the-app-store-breaks-on-throug/), today's free-to-play launch of Wordament sees another proprietary feature opening up: Xbox Live Achievements. Anyone with at least an Android 4.0 handset and a few friends should now be able to add up to 50G to their Gamerscore (http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-backwards-compatible/). Meanwhile, Windows Phone users should be happy to see that their version of the app has been re-written for WP8, banishing those odd letterboxing issues forever.
