Everyone and their dog seems to think that GTA V is heading to PC, but theories as to why it’s not yet happened are pretty varied.
Perhaps the most colourful has come from Intel notebook marketing director Chris Silva who made the following forum-worthy claim to PC Gamer (http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/10/08/intel-on-gta-5-pc-release-i-dont-think-it-will-be-console-exclusive-very-long/).
“Somebody paid a lot of money to make sure that title was exclusive,” he believes.
By ‘exclusive’ he means exclusive to consoles. That being consoles from two market rivals. So did they team up and both chip in for this secretive payoff? Or did one party pay to convince Rockstar to keep GTA V away from next-gen? Or is this just nonsense?
Silva also reckons that it won’t be long before the game does make the jump to the PC platform.
“At least with Grand Theft Auto I don’t think it’ll be console exclusive very long,” he added. “But that’s what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content.”
