Developer Psyonix's Arc Squadron (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/10/18/arc-squadron-available-soon/), a Star Fox-esque arcade combat game running on Unreal Engine, will update to Arc Squadron Redux on October 17. The $2.99 app for iOS and Android will drop its price to free dollars.
"We are also proud to offer our community a new and improved version of the game with lots of playability tweaks and bug fixes to make the game generally more fun for new and existing players," said Dave Hagewood, the lead pilot at Psyonix.
Psyonix previously made Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/supersonic-acrobatic-rocket-powered-battle-cars) for PSN. We know that's a random thing to bring up, but it's just so much fun to write a ridiculous title like that down.
