Nintendo has confirmed that Yoshi's Cookie will be dropped from the US Wii Virtual Console service on October 18.
This follows the game's removal from the EU and Japanese VC Wii Shops on October 11.

Yoshi's Cookie, a block-matching puzzle game, was originally released on NES and Game Boy in 1992, before a SNES update arrived in 1993. The NES version hit the Wii Virtual Console in 2008.
Nintendo recently announced plans to cease manufacturing its Wii console in the near future (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/431794/wii-production-to-cease/).
The ceased production will mark the final chapter of the Wii story, which began when first announced in 2004 and went on to become the most successful home console in the company's 125-year history.
