i just use ir shell, so my psp is completely independent.
i never need a computer, i download something, unzip it, move it, and then play it, all in ir shell. this is nice but i dont need it.

I'm not familiar with this program but I think I'll give it a try.

Only problem with that is you can't place things into flash1 or flash0 with irshell (unless there is something in this program that I don't know about?) and though you can use other programs for that specific purpose, some just find this to be the preferred program for flashing, among other things.

I do agree with you, though, about removing the necessity of having a computer to get things up and running.

I have a shortcut from iRShell TO PSP Filer. It's just a LOT more useful for... say... changing the modification/creation date on files to shuffle them around in the XMB. Also, as noted above, it can access Flash0/1, though I did have problems trying to copy files TO Flash0/1 from my MS. Perhaps something to unlock in a future update with appropriate warnings? It'd be nifty to be able to download an icon pack or somesuch and be able to install it without the need for a PC.

Granted, though, for just simple file manipulation (moving, deleting, unzipping) I just use iRShell itself.

You have to look in the help, and enable "hacker mode" in order to access flash1/flash0 in psp-filer.

Cool. I use PSPfiler to flash my files to flash0. I dont trust USB flash0 and its just time consuming going back and forth. Unless I semi brick. Lol will give this a try. O yeah almost forgot to mention. I thinks its time this app gets a Nice GUI. Dont get me wrong its freat now but a nice GUI would make it better

EDIT:
Found a bug in this release. When using a wallpaper it make the wallpaper blurred when you exit and then reboot filer. Also found annother bug but i have forgot what it was I'm looking now but can't remember what it was. Will keep looking tho. Unless its where i had i use patchSFo to get it to work.
