EA didn't touch the Dreamcast when it was 'alive' on America and Europe. A game on 2007 makes no sense.

This game just smacks of a cheap EA cash in all over. I guarantee you it will get between the regions of 60 - 70% in games magazines but still sell by the bucketload.

It would be cool to have it on almost every console ever made, but it wouldn't really make them money to sell a Saturn game now.

Right, it wouldn't happen... All EA cares about is money anyway. But Jaguar? Those games still sell like hotcakes!!!

They may mean that they are releasing it on the virtual console and xbox arcade and what ever the PS3 one is. That way they could make it for classic platforms and still sell well.

The reason they say to every console every made is because the game is supposed to be making fun of all the previous crappy Simpsons games. That was a real video, it was the trailer from E3.

Because it's still getting good hardware/software sales. Plus PS3 isn't doing a good job actually.

I don't get the origin of this video. Was it some clever hack made by a random YouTuber? Or was this what EA genuinely showed at E3? What?

If the picture of the various old name brands is false, surely the voice saying "every platform ever made" must be for real however? I wonder what that part took over originally......

It was a genuine video shown at E3. It hasn't been edited. Of course it's just a joke (it should be obvious to their E3 audience that it wouldn't be made for systems so old). That and it's Simpsons, it used to be known for jokes.

If it was only Dreamcast it MIGHT have been something you could belive. But when you add in those other ancient consoles it just ruins it,

The first thing that made it completely obvious and fake to me is that, that is not EVERY system ever made, not even close to it

To a lesser extent is the fact that it would be expensive to produce carts for the respective systems and lets not forget that GD-ROM production is dead ;)

JKKDARK
July 22nd, 2007, 18:48
lets not forget that GD-ROM production is dead
Which is not really right, since Sega never announced it.

Don't they use GD-ROM in Naomi/Atomiswave boards?

The GD-ROM can be used on Dreamcast and the Sega arcade machines Naomi, Naomi 2, Chihiro and Triforce.

Oh, I know, I was just trying to show Vixtro that they still use it. lol

Its a nice thought, but i strongly doubt it will come to EVERY console. Nice bit of simpsons humour there. :D

If you check on EA's site you will find the homesite for the Simpsons game. There you can also find a link to pre-order the game and none of the classic systems in that trailor are on the pre-order list. The systems its coming out for are. Nintendo DS,Nintendo Wii,Playstation 2 and 3,Xbox 360 and i believe PSP would also be in that list.

It would be cool to have it on almost every console ever made, but it wouldn't really make them money to sell a Saturn game now.

Saturn wasn't on the list of consoles at the end of the video.

The list showed:

Xbox 360
Playstation 3
Wii
Coleco Vision
PSP
Nintendo DS
Atari Jaguar
Turbo Grafix
Dreamcast
Nintendo 64
Nintendo GameCube
Commodore VIC 20
Amiga
GameBoy Advance

Only 5 of which are actually possible (the ones I wrapped with BOLD tabs), thou the other 9 would be a waste of time.
