Ok...I'm mildy mad. I installed 3.51 M33...and i loved it, but then I noticed my um...backup...of GTA:VCS wouldn't work. Then the configuration in my Recovery mode won't work. I click on it and it just goes to the light blue screen...and does nothing. Then I downgraded it to 1.50 and up to 3.10OE-A...but it corrupts the settings and turns everything Japenese. So I went down to 1.50 and back up to 3.40OE-A, but it stills does everything in Japenese. So I had to go to recovery and set all the stuff back like to where X is enter. But the Configuration in the recovery mode still doesn't work. And this all was working fine before I updated to 3.51 M33! HELP!!!

its not the custom firmware M33 problem. it happens for OE too..
dude. just go to settings on your xmb and restore system defaults. that gets rid of the configurations problem and any BSoD probs.
thers no difference with M33 and OE :p so guys dont get so scared just cuz it was made by someone else

lol, thank me later

I tried that. Corrupted my settings upon restart. Had to reinput my settings again...IN JAPENESE AGAIN. lol. Any other suggestions. Now...what about the configuration problem in the recovery mode.

YO!! I know this one LOL

this happened to me too when I semi bricked on 3.40-OE

You have to replace the config.se file with a backup you had before, the file goes in flash1

At some point using recovery too much this file gets corrupted, makes the psp japanese default and does't let you config recovery

but by doing this you'll be okay

edit: sorry for saying using recovery, I think is the other way around, I think this happens because of updating from previous OE all the time

for some reason i had no problem with any custom firmware. ive never gotten BSoD at any point except downgrading. i must be a lucky person. lol

restoring defaults shouldve fixed the configs in recovery menu though but try Mike's way. i heard it works

This happened to me too a while back. The problem is in the Flash1. I have an application that Restores the Flash1,if you need just ask for it. Or find a backup of your Flash1,if you have one, much better.

config.se may be deleted if it becomes corrupt, it will automatically generate its self
