Future has released the first ABC Electronic audited figures for sites operating as part of the Computer and Video Games Network - which includes sites tied to the publisher's print magazines.

During the month of May more than 1.56 million unique users visited the sites, generating 11,472,341 page impressions.

The ABCE certificate (http://www.abce.org.uk/ABCE_PDFS/CVGNetwork0507w.pdf) states that this figure includes hits for computerandvideogames.com, edge-online.co.uk, xploder.net, oxm.co.uk and officialnintendomagazine.co.uk, plus the OXM and Official Nintendo forums.

According to ABCE, these sites account for "around 95 per cent" of the total figure. Neither ABCE or Future would name the sites which account for the remaining 5 per cent.

The certificate also states that the CVG Network hosts "magazine sites for all of Future Publishing's unofficial gaming magazines including PC Gamer, PC Zone, Xbox World 360, PlayStation World, PSM3 and NGamer". Future declined to offer further comment.

In a statement digital commercial director Daniel Ward-Lee said, "These are encouraging first-time ABCE figures for CVG and gives Future a solid base to build and develop our cross-media strategy allowing Future to provide reach and relevance to our clients' media campaigns as well as strengthen our traditional games print sector strength online.

"Combining the readers of our magazines, users of our web properties and supporters of our events, Future can offer a uniquely integrated multi-channel approach delivering real benefits to both consumers and advertisers as a result of cross-promotion and truly complementary content."
