wen i updated last time to M33 i tried to play liberty city with cwcheat enabled and it would just crash my psp when it gets to the loading screen. i wonder if it works now with all these bug fixes even though they are only fixes for no umd compatibility. w/e ill update later.

so did anyone test these games thats supposedly work now? i have socom on my memory stick but i cant test it since im at 3.03 OEC

I don't get it ... None of my isos / csos work, either with the normal patch or this. I entered the recovery menu and choosed M33 loader with no UMD disc (Since my UMD drive is fu**ed :( ), but with 3.40 OE-A I got more working then on this, but games like Luxor, Burnout Dominator, Burnout Legends (Only got it to work on 1.50 with 0.46 devhook), Marvel Nemesis etc. I can't get to work, with either M-33s Firmware OR Dark_AleXs :(

Could someone please help ?

Mediumgauge released a version of CWCheat which works with 3.51 M33 a few days ago.
And I tested Socom and it works,I'll test Virtua Tennis later.

Use 3.51 Kernel and enable the "Plain modules in UMD/ISO" option and tell me how it goes.

As if we did not already know, these guys are the real deal. The rate of updates given by the M33 team is very impressive and goes to show that this custom firmware will be serious contender for being the premium custom firmware we all look towards in the future and even now.

It usually takes me a long time to change to something new and 3.40 OE-A hasn't failed me yet but I have to say that each update I see from the M33 team makes me want to upgrade to 3.51 M33 more and more.

With greatly improved noUMD compatibility and 1.50 kernel plugin capability, among other features, this custom firmware is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

I don't not everyone is upgrading to this yet but they definitely get an A+ for effort.

use 3.51 kernel (As we talked about)
Advanced -> Advanced Configuration ->

Disable all 3 options in here and voila ! :D

I could never get it working on OE firmware. I know people needed to use DevHook to use R&C SM's infrastructure.

I tried it with the umd in the latest m33-5 patch and still no go. Umd still needs 266mhz and infrastructure still hangs.

I registered on pspx.ru and confirmed the email, but I still have to wait before an admin activates my account. then I'll post and ask about the problem. Hopefully they will be able to fix it. Only known way to play online is through Devhook. Sometimes devhook gives me sort of a fake brick after I shut it down. Whenever I try turning on my psp it just stays black and turns off after 10 seconds, then I would need to go into recovery and exit. Only then will my psp start normally. It's a really tough process to go through just to play online.

Too much updates

But still, I'm sticking to normal mode, too much hassle.

All my game backups work fine, and my umd in the drive is too big, so i save space on the MS
Tekken DR, Iso - around 1.7 GB
cso - I don't know, i think around 800mb or so

Anyway keep the good work

Oh my bad... just thought that people using iso/cso's they downloaded using a feature called no-umd would in a way be considered piracy. Although they could indeed buy the game and dump it themselves using they're BROKEN umd drive couldn't they...

Oh jesus, your one of those people.
LEt me let you in on a lil secret... usually the first peopel to bitch about it being something for piracy are just trying to cover thier own asses.

I buy every game I have. My UMD drive completely stopped working after I first downgraded from 2.8 to 1.5 then up to 3.03-oe. so, it is kind of hard for me to play an actual disc. I buy a game, "find" it somewhere else, and run it off my mem stick saving battery life and cutting down load times by almost half.

At the same time, I have over 100 Useless UMDs laying around that I cannot use because the UMD drive motor is busted......
So I am very thankful that more of the games I have paid for are compatible now that they wont even spin up in my psp.

nah I was just trying to stir up some sh!+ before I went to work... As for covering my own ass, No not really I've done my share of piracy. Not really that much on psp games, but I've "sinned" in the past but answer me this question (in all seriousness, not looking for a smart-ass answer). If you have hundreds of psp games that you can't even play (you're obviously not poor)... why don't you just buy a new psp.

I had two(one for homebrew and one for games) till I bricked one then downgraded the other. But as soon as the new psp comes out I'm gonna buy one for regular use. You might see that as overkill but I think its better that way...
