Here's a little email I just received from the CycloWiz Team:
"Hello,

some of the differences (this is not an exausthive list) is : CycloWiz
supports audiofix (that means GC games have no sound problem and are not
crashing, unlike around 30% of GC games using streaming audio on Wiikey),
CycloWiz is upgradable (Wiikey never released an upgrade to fix the
audiofix issue for example), CycloWiz can be disabled at the touch of a
button when turning on the console, so that even the more paranoid people
can get online :) And CycloWiz is still supported, even more, new
features are coming that will be announced very soon.

Regarding homebrew compatibility, or disc read errors, CycloWiz has the
best possible compatibility rate.

We hope this will help you make your choice, should you need any more
info, don't hesitate to contact me!

Best Regards,
Team Cyclops - Tech Support"

Let me take this apart real fast:
*CycloWiz has the audiofix and Wiikey does not? Doesn't the 1.2 setup disc for the Wiikey address this?
*CycloWiz is upgradeable? So is the Wiikey. Wiikey has not released a firmware upgrade and disappointingly said they would but still haven't. But, from the getgo Wiikey has worked pretty well without one. CycloWiz did not support all Wii disc drives and initially read DVD-rs at less than 6x.
*As far as DREs or homebrew compatibility I can't really comment on that since I do not own a modchip. But, emu_kidid is writing a new GCOS that will support DVD9 (dual layers), region fixing, and IGR support. And, some of the features will only be available on Wiikey.

I'm not suggesting one modchip over another but it wouldn't be awful to get some straight answers.

I have a wii free chip in mine, and i can flash whatever firmware i want to it, so im impartial to whatever key people use, mine works completely fine.

It seems like YAOSM v1.8 is pretty good but Wiinja Deluxe seems to be the best right now for features. Cyclowiz is interesting because it also supports open firmware just like the Ninja.
