i have prx files in my psp and mapthis works fine but i don't have the sony gps receiver yet. if it works right now does that mean that the gps will work with the prx files that ihave right now

dont buy a sony GPS, buy a holux, you get better reception and better fixes on sat's..

(so ive heard/read)

but i thought for htat one, you have to mod the wires or something an di don't really want to do that

you can buy a factory PSP-to-holux cable..
If you go with PSP-290 and the reception is not too great your can do a DYI extention cable to get better results ;-)

it's not that bad - it's just sitting too close to PSP, which interfere with gps reception...
This interference depends on your PSP, so some people report ok performance while others are dissapointed

With sony, you have OK reception, and its slightly better in my opinion because its taylor made for the psp.
But with the Holux gps recievers, they sport higher reception and faster sattelite fixes etc. with one downside, that being the cable required.
You can buy a factory made cable though. Its not too expensive.

can someone help me??????????????
i just bought a gps290
and i cant get it to do anything. im not sure what im doing.
i installed:
MapThis_0461S_beta
in the main drive
then as i read on its says i need .prx files
where do i get those?
and after that what do i do, sorry normally im good at this. PLEASE HELP I NEED THIS I LEAVE TOMMORO FOR A TRIP.
