The delays of Watch Dogs and DriveClub have had an unfortunate consequence for a handful of gamers in the US.
Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/looks-like-target-is-canceling-ps4-preorder-bundles-for-1448163984) reports that consumers who pre-ordered with the PS4 and Watch Dogs bundle or PS4 and DriveClub bundle with Target have not just seen their games cancelled – they’ve also lost their hardware too.
Adding insult to injury, Target has said it will re-open pre-orders for the machine later this week on a “first come, first served basis”.
The same thing has also happened to those who pre-ordered the retailer’s Xbox One Watch Dogs bundle.
The incident appears to be isolated, at least. On this side of the Atlantic both Amazon (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/amazon-offering-choice-of-ps4-bundles-to-replace-watch-dogs-pre-orders/0122742) and GAME (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/game-clarifies-watch-dogs-ps4-bundle-situation/0122687)have told affected customers that their hardware is safe.
