well
there's about 5 or6 different flavours of M3

there's the M3 Simply. It's a slot1 card, supports clean drag and drop roms. works great. takes microSD cards. does NOT support GBA games

the rest of the M3 cards (sd, mini SD, CF, Lite perfect, lite pro) are all slot2 cards
requires a passme to enable NDS play, but supports GBA games, and full homebrew compatibility

I've got both a M3 simply, and m3 lite perfect, and it's a great combo

I use the M3 Simply a lot more at this point, but once I'm done a couple games, then it's all retro GBA games on the list

Note that the M3 Pro only has 4 MB of RAM on it, so only GBA binaries 4 MB or under will run. For this reason, a Perfect is supported if you want a slot-2 M3.
