Samsung has extended the Galaxy Gear’s (http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/stars-launch-samsung-galaxy-gear-at-rooftop-party/031993) compatibility tothe Galaxy S4 (http://www.pcr-online.biz/news/read/samsung-galaxy-s4-gold-revealed/032008), S3, Note 2 and more.
The Galaxy Gear will be available to use with the above devices through the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.
Compatibility for the wearable tech is also extended to the Galaxy S4 Mini, S4 Active, Mega 5.8, Mega 6.3 and Galaxy S4 Zoom. This will be available through a separate software update beginning globally at the end of October.
The software updates will enable users to make and answer calls and view incoming messages and notifications via the Galaxy Gear.
The smartwatch comes with a 1.9MP camera, built-in pedometer app and the ability to control the music played on the master device.
