PSP Firmware 3.52 Released

Coinciding with the release of PS3 Firmware 1.90, Sony has now released Firmware 3.52 for the PSP. It is a rather minor update, only increasing compatibility with PlayStation Network (or PSone) titles.

That's because they noticed that 3.51 is the bomb on Homebrew right now? Haha,let's see if Team M33 can come with a 3.51 to 3.52 firmware update,like DAX times.

They have most likely not changed the decryptions at all, so M33 could make a custom firmware out of this anytime. But I kinda doubt they will, just like DAX wouldn't make a 3.11 OE. Increased POPS compatibility is always a treat, though!

minor update?? ps1 titles??? i wonder if 3.52 decrypts on the previous decryptors and if someone clever could hex a look inside pops.prx and post up the ID list:D?

im downloading the update and i know how to try and decrypt it, but i dont know enough about hex to get the list up like harleyG did, anyone know how??

I just upgraded last night from 3.40oe. Everything is working great for me so far.

If they do release a 3.52 cfw, I'll probably hold off unless something really profound is added.

This was unexpected, to have Sony release firmware version 3.52 today. I wonder if it has any security patches in addition to expand more playable Playstation 1 titles.

I really hope this update gets made into a cfw. If you ask me 3.51 was just a waste of time, other then the no umd updates. If this one gets made into a cfw i may use it for the fact Final Fantasy VIII may work without crashing. Please M33 team make use a 3.52 M33. Really badly wanna play ff8

I just hope this added compatibility for Legend of Legaia, thats my favorite game for the playstation. It beats the final fantasy games by like 10x. Anyway, I know it wasnt compatible before, it would always freeze within all the battles.

This did add compatibility for Legend of Legaia!!! It can actually go into battles without instant freezing, though I have run into a couple random times it did freeze. Though, it is playable because the freezing is pretty rare now. Sweeeeeet! I love this firmware, well....the CFW of this firmware, lol.:D :D :D Only reason to have POPs is for Legend of Legaia, common, PS classic.
