this is pretty irrelevant but...
wasn't there a mention of petunia being a squib,
technically she would just be a regular muggle.
can some one please clarify, or is this just a mistake in the book?

dude snape got angry and dropped da branch on petunias head. that's why lily and peetunia started falling out.

Duh!!! lilly is called a mubblood, hers and petunias parents are mugglesand yeah it was snape who dropped the branch god u lot r thick
