Team M33 have released anew version of their excellent Custom Firmware for the PSP which now supports PSP Firmware 3.52.

Heres Whats New:
[LIST]
3.52 Supported
M33 NO-UMD: fixed problem with several games including Simple 2500 Series Portable, The IQ Cube
Bug Fix for Go!Cam, GPS and sceKernelLoadExecVSH* not working in game mode.

They also updated it with a new bugfix release, heres the changelog

Changes:

- Document.dat of psx games were broken due to some important changes in popsman.prx and now is fixed.
Plus, now document.dat does not need the same gameid as game which is played.

- The compatibility issue with irshell loading psx games in usbhost/nethost has been solved.

- Changes in recovery:

1. Removed the advanced config option "use isofs on UMD inserted", as it is not useful now.
2. Added "Format flash1 and restore settings" in Advanced.
3. Added speeds 20 and 100.
4. When in usb mode inside recovery, it is impossible to turn PSP off.

- The chineses and korean languages did not work in XMB, because they crashed homebrew and recovery.
The issue has been fixed, but korean font is not there, so you need to take it with psardumper from official updater, and put it in flash0:/font/kr0.pgf.

- M33 driver: fixed SBK07, now it work.

With this release we also a plugin to load pops from 3.40, 3.51, and 3.52.
The plugin works in 3.51 M33 and 3.52 M33. In 3.51 M33 you won't see option "3.51", and in 3.52 M33
you won't see option "3.52" (use original from flash for same firmware).

Instructions: copy seplugins to the root of the memory stick. Extract the following prx of a firmware: /kd/popsman.prx, /kd/pops.prx, /vsh/modules/libpspvmc.prx and /vsh/modules/pafmini.prx and copy them to /seplugins/popsloader/ with names like popsman3XX, pops3XX.prx, libpspvmc3XX.prx, pafmini3XX.prx, where XX is 40, 51, or 52.

Activate the plugin in recovery and done! First time you run a game, it will let you choose pops version.
Next time will remember configuration for each game; press R to change it.

The plugin doesn't apply to psn games.

I have no problems with gpSP after this update. I would double check your gpSP settings to make sure they are ok.

then, when I ran the update my psp shutdown and dose not start again unless I go to the recovery mode then I reboot so, psp work normally but without the update ...

your in the CFW 3.52m33? you can only do this update if you have this firmware and when you make the update in this tread your CFW will change to 3.52m33-2

I was really skeptical about this firmware (coming from 3.40OE) but I installed it yesterday to see how it was. You know, this is not bad at all! Not as many bugs as I expected. Really good release, I'm sticking with it.

Anyone have a problem that once they have it updated and everything (to 3.53 M33-2) that when you cold boot the PSP (totally power down) it resets every setting to default? It won't let me keep the UMD setting, and goes back to 'Default' on the CPU settings as well.

Also, whenever I go into recovery, it resets my wallpaper (removes it) and I have to re-set it. Ugh...I dunno what I did or if this is a common error.

One thing that -might- be the reason why (I doubt it) is I replaced my flash0 with a backup I had, but was stupid, and did it with 3.40 OE. On a 3.51 M33. It semi-bricked me, but I ran the recovery thing and had to redo all my settings again, and it said I was running 3.40 again...so I re-updadted to 3.51, and then to 3.52 M33-2

EDIT: Well, the new option 'Format Flash1 and reset settings' apparently has worked for me, and the weird resets have stopped. Powered down several times now, and all is working well. Now if only I could get the CWCheat codes to work in puzzle quest :P

 Hi, someone please help me?!?!

I am currently on 3.52 M33 but ...
How do i install the 3.52 M33 #2?

What are these plugins and where do i get them from and which one? Shown Below ...

" Extract the following prx of a firmware: /kd/popsman.prx, /kd/pops.prx, /vsh/modules/libpspvmc.prx and /vsh/modules/pafmini.prx and copy them to /seplugins/popsloader/ with names like popsman3XX, pops3XX.prx, libpspvmc3XX.prx, pafmini3XX.prx, where XX is 40, 51, or 52."

What exactly do i do, please help?

When you update to 3.52 M33 #2 ... does it say that on system info?

Thank You :)

You only need those files if you want to use the popsloader, which it doesn't seem you do for now.

You don't need them to upgrade. Simply put the 3.52-2 folder containing the EBOOT.PBP file in GAME150, then run from the XMB game menu. And yes, it will display M33 3.52-2.

So what exactly is the popsloader?
and where do i get the plugin files from?

Thanks for helping, really appreciate it.

So if i don't want to use the popsloader, i don't do any of the following below ... right?!!

"With this release we also a plugin to load pops from 3.40, 3.51, and 3.52.

The plugin doesn't apply to psn games."

After i run the eboot.pbp from xmb menu ... is there anything else i have to do?.
THANKS:thumbup:

The popsloader is if you want to use a different version of the official PS1 emulator. For instance, if you're at M33 3.52-2, you use the 3.52 popsloader by default, with all the fixes Sony has made for the official 3.52 firmware. Some games, however, work better on certain firmwares. That's what the popsloader is for. So if you don't use the PS1 emulator, or if all games work perfectly for you, you don't have to bother with this.

If you do want to try it out, you'll need to decrypt the whole firmware update file of the firmware you want the pops files from, then find the necessary files (which you mentioned earlier). Do this for all the firmwares you want to install the popsloader for, and rename the files accordingly.

Update: No, if you don't want to use the popsloader (you can still use the pops that comes with 3.52), you don't have to do anything more after patching to 3.52-2. :)

sorry just one more thing.. i know im asking you a lot of questions but just in case i have to use the poploader later on. How exactly do i dycrypt the firmware and all these stuffs. Is it possible for you to send me a folder with all these files and tell me where to copy it because i like to stay up to date even if i don't use it.

Also, since the M33 #3 update is out ... would it automatically update the poploader?

Thanks ever so much!!

Get the latest firmware decrypter from the attachment here (http://dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=58041), or from here (http://dl.qj.net/PSP-v3.30-Decrypter-by-Team-C+D-PSP/pg/12/fid/13379/catid/114).
Find firmware updates here (http://dl.qj.net/Firmwares-PSP-/catid/163). Follow the instructions for the decrypter to decrypt and extract all files from the firmware.

3.52-3 isn't out yet. It will be tomorrow. It won't change anything in the 3.52 popsloader, but it seems the popsloader will now support 3.30 in the popsloader, so a new plugin will come with the package. The same decrypted files will be usable, though.

1) don't double (or quadruple) post. It's rather annoying, and no one will answer your questions because you portray yourself as an idiot, who doesn't think the rules of the forum applies to him.

2) Google the firmware. You'll find it. As for what one, if you're not bright enough to READ the readme file with the download, then there's really no hope for you (Hint: it starts with 3.5)

3) as for a game that doesn't work with it? Who cares? If you don't own it, then you shouldn't worry about it. ISO talk and such isn't seen in a positive light around here. If all the games you legally own work, then you're fine.

4) popsloader is only for use in games that have a higher playability/compatibility (proven) in a specific firmware. personally, I've never had a problem with any of the games I play, so I've never had to bother with it.

Next time, be a little more patient, and use the EDIT button if you're the last one to post. All posting like an idiot does it get your treated like one.

Just download 3.52 M33 (1) and put it in your GAME150 folder and install it (read the "READ ME"). Then download the 3.52 M33-4 udate and put that in the GAME150 folder and install that straight from the original 3.52 M33 update (you don't have to go to 2 or 3, you can go straight to 4 and it will include everything you need. Good luck.

I'm not sure I can help there. I haven't really delved in that. I always assumed it was handled via a plugin when you want to stream movies from your PC using the nethost feature or on your mem. card. Can't wait for a new release of irshell. Apparently in the new version, it will have full compatibility with M33-4.

sry for double posting, i think i understand the readme now, but im concerned about the file inside the m33 creator. it has an EBOOT.PBP that's only 446kb in size, but i found another one that's 20mb in size. which one is correct?

Download the 3.52 M33 custom firmware from here and first (if your on 1.5) run the kxploit patcher which is in the 1.50only folder. After running that put a 3.52 firmware update in the M33Creator folder and rename it from eboot to 352, grab a 1.5 firmware update and do the same except rename it to 150. After that put that M33Creator folder in your GAME folder and run it. After that installs go to your memory stick and run the new program you see in your GAME folder after that last install. After that is done installing you can then download this 3.52 M33-2 update and put that in your GAME150 folder and run it, or you can upate straight to 3.52 M33-4 (or 3) but I would stay at M33-2 since 4 seems to be a little bugy.
